About Eric Dawicki
A United States merchant marine with a Master of Public Administration from American University in Washington, DC, Eric Dawicki has served as President of Northeast Maritime Institute (NMI) since 1995. Located in Fairhaven, Massachusetts, NMI is the first and only private institution of higher learning in the United States that focuses exclusively on maritime arts and sciences. Eric Dawicki’s work with NMI encompasses all aspects of college organization and administration, from budgeting to human resources.
Mr. Dawicki concurrently spearheads the operations and management of the Commonwealth of Dominica’s International Maritime Registry as its co-founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer, also based in Fairhaven. Since 2006, he has supported and fortified maritime security and safety communications as the founder of Transportation Security Logistics (TSL). Projects undertaken by TSL include the surveillance of the Huey P. Long Bridge and the Port Transportation Rail Authority for the Port of Houston in Texas.
